Wedding planning

Our son is getting married. Lots of things are being discussed, one of which is whether the wedding is just about what the couple wants or is it also about the parents as the "party throwers". I'd be interested in comments from people who have been through this. All the issues that come up about who to invite and paper vs cloth table services are enough to drive one mad. The end result is to glorify God but getting there can be less than that. I'm guessing that the less details the easier it is. Any suggestions out there would be appreciated.

As Time Goes By

It struck me today how fleeting time is. My last post was Oct. 11 and it seems like yesterday. A friend commented that in 41 days he would be 53. I thought,"Gosh , your old." Then I realized I'd be 53 nine days later! Also can't believe I've been a missionary 18 months. Alot of adjustment went on in that time- to a new community, driving patterns, church, having children around again (our own) and they've doubled!, a smaller living space, a bigger yard, diabetes, and new job responsibilities. Today I was ready for a transfer. I discovered mistakes I'd made back two months and had to start unravelling and correcting. Ugh! I'm suddenly tired, time for bed.

There's a first time for everything

This is my first ever Blog . I've posted on lots of them but never had one of my own. I'm excited to communicate this way and think that I'll learn alot in the process. A new friend,Becky told me it would be easy and it was. I'm hoping there will be lots of conversations here about Life and how to live it as well as encouraging words for the journey. I'll leave this for now since I need to go set up for a sewing class. back later.
